What I Wore Wednesdays

As the days of Quarantine continue, I am 1) still all about the comfort, but 2) very much so missing the days of getting dressed up, SO here’s a combo! Leather Harem trousers are that perfect in between of comfort and looking put together. I paired mine with a white corset top and platform sneakers but I would also suggest a cute t-shirt or tank for a more casual look. Harem trousers (pantaloons) were seen in the Middle East first, but officially introduced by Parisian designer, Paul Poiret back in 1910. In light of recent events, I wanted to highlight one of many fashion trends that have come from African American roots. At the time, the Harem pant was considered a controversial way of introducing trousers into a woman’s wardrobe.
